Novelty Warburton Cake

This novelty celebration birthday cake was another special request for one of our customers. The surprise birthday cake was for their partner who loves warburtons crumpets. We have designed the cake board to look like a side plates and hand decorated a flower pattern around the board.

The replica crumpets were made from 2 x 8 inch cakes and were made out of our own in house soft vanilla sponge with a jam and strawberry conserve filling. Once we had the right colour for the icing the cake was then covered and given a hand detailed effect of a warburtons crumpet. We then hand coloured around each of the holes to give the effect that it was a real toasted warbby. On the top of the warburtons novelty cake we added our own mix of edible replicated butter, together with some real strawberry conserve.

Around the sides of the replicated crumpets we put the inscription “John loves his warbies” which also has the effrect of being a part of the warburton, as requested.  

When it was all put together it was very hard to tell the difference between the cakes and the real thing (Of course the size would give it away ).

There is no delivery charge for any birthday, novelty or other celebration cakes in the immediate area of Derby or Nottingham. Other areas will incur a nominal delivery charge to cover fuel. We will deliver all of our cakes in person to the requested address, venue.

Dusky Heart Wedding Cake

This split 4 tier ivory wedding cake was a request by one of our brides. Each tier is laid on its own iced board which is edged with a matching dusky pink ribbon. A seperator board is laid between each tier and the edge of each of those boards has a deep blue ribbon around them.

The tiers are decorated in a smooth ivory fondant and with a minimum amount of tiny hearts. Once stacked together it stands tall at over 15″ high. The cake is decorated at the front with different sized iced hearts in contrasting dusky ping against the ivory coated cakes.

On the top tier we have placed both dark blue hearts with larger duxky pink ones at the back. The most difficult task was getting the cake to stand straight on the sloping uneven marquee floor. Something to bear in mind when bride and grooms book there venue. Thouch a marquee is a lovely place to hold a reception, when it comes to standing the wedding cake it does need to be on a flat level surface with a floor that does not rock every time someone walks past. Also ensure there is a good airflow to prevent overheat and cold.

Pink Phoenix Stargazer Lily Wedding Cake

Another of our climbing Phoenix range of cakes. This particular cake was delivered and set up in person to our Bride and Groom in Colchester.

Each tier in this cake is dressed in white icing with black and pink ribbons around the base. The tiers are all seperated with false bloskx and glass. The false blocks are also decorated in an identical way to the tiers and macth in height and sizes accordingly.

The Stargazer lilies on this cake are all made individually by hand out of flowerpaste and can either be kept as a momento of your day or eaten. Each petal is also decorated individually. Bow and Drape wedding cake

This lovely single tier Bow and Drape wedding cake is an ideal size for that Smaller, more Personal wedding. The cake is laid onto 2 round cake boards which are also dressed with icing and ribbons. A small bow on the base board is decorated with a diamante.

A hexagon cake draped in soft ivory fondant. Around the side of the cake we have dressed it with a hanging drape effect and added petals with a diamante in the middle of each drape where they meet. This gives the side of the cake a very elegant look about it. Around the base of the cake is a diamante effect chain.

The top of the cake has been decorated with individual bow loops which are clustered together. Also inbetween these loops we have added the odd diamante pin to tie in with the side of the cake.

This particular cake was requested in our beautiful soft english fruit cake, for our coule who went to “Gretna Green” to tie the note. It is available in a variety of shapes, sizes, colours and flavours. (Why not try our unique Jamacian Fruit Cake) 

Delivery within the immediate area of Derby and Nottingham is FREE. Other areas will incur a small delivery charge. All of our wedding cakes are set up by us in person at your venue and include, a cake knife flower spray (to match your theme) and some cake table decoration to blend in with the cake. This is all included in the price of the cake (Except for delivery charge where applicable).

Babies Christening Book Cake

Babies christening cake in pink and white. This cake is available in a range of colours, sizes and flavours to suit. Laid out on a 12″ iced cake board, the cake is made from a 12″ sponge. (can also be in fruit), and decorated with drops around the base of the book.

A pink ribbon lies down the center of the book whilst around the outside of the pages the cake is double hand piped with a scroll effect. The babies booties on this christening cake have been hand made and decorated to give a wollen boot effect. Little ribbons have been used for laces.

Babies name and message can either be hand piped or shaped letters placed, whichever you prefer. The cake is prepared and decorated less than 48 hours prior to our delivery to you. Baked using only the finest fresh ingredients, this cake comes in a multitude of different flavours and can also be made to suit allergies.

Pandora Jewellery Birthday Cake

A beautiful Pandora birthday cake. This cake is available in a range of colours, flavours and sizes to suit your occasion. Into fashion? Make a statement with this gorgeous pandora cake. The base tier is dressed in pink icing which is decorated around the base with individual pearl beading. Decorated with silver dragee’s and criss crossed on the sides to give a cushion like appearance.

On top of this tier is a hand molded shoe and handbag. Each item is hand made and decorated out of flower paste and is completly edible. You can even keep them as a keepsake. The second tier is decorated with a stunning white fondant and is also surrounded on the base with inividual beading and sports a cross of pink icing wrapped around the cake it gives the effect of a wrapped present. 

On the top of the cake we have made a small pandora style jewellery box (also out of cake) and coated it in white icing and given a silk sheet effect inside in pink. Embeded into the box is a hand made small ring, whilst on the inside of the lid we have recreated the pandora insignia 

Finally we have added some love hearts around the back of the box to finish the whole look. The cake is set on an iced cake board with a pink ribbon around it. This pandora cake is delivered FREE of charge within the immediate areas of Derby and Nottingham. Delivery to other areas will incur a small delivery charge. Childrens Teddy Bear Birthday Cake With Cup Cakes

Large size cup cakes

This childs birthday cake can be made in any colour and is available in our full range of flavours. The current childrens birthday cake is decorated in pure white fondant and dressed around the base with a soft pink ribbon. The top of the cake is decorated with small pink flowers and a hand molded teddy bears. We do all of our molded charactures etc by hand as we find it is more of a personal touch.

Sitting on top of a 4 tier cup cake stand, underneath the top tier we have our own LARGE cupcakes which are all baked and decorated individually. These particular cup cakes were a mix of flat fondant and buttercream toppings. Each cupcake has its own individual decoration on them. A mix of vanilla and strawberry cup cakes made with real vanilla pods and fresh strawberry conserve. A real delight with the children.

The cake stand is hired seperatly at a minimal cost with a holding deposit for the safe return.

Golden Wedding Anniversary Cake

A simple elegant looking 12″ Golden Wedding Anniversary Cake for the smaller gathering. Made with a 12″ round vanilla sponge. Real vanilla pods are used for the flavouring in all of our wedding and celebration cakes and all other ingredients are from fresh produce.

Coated in an ivory fondant, this cake also has a white skirt frill effect around the outside. Decorated with gold bows and gold lettering. Hand made Pink and Ivory roses with small but effective golden bells were used to top this anniversary cake which set it off nicely. You may change the flowers to suit.

This particlaur sponge had our gorgeous strawberry conserve and freshly made buttercream. The cake is available in a wide range of colours and styles to suit and is also available in all of our flavours.

Novelty Sewing Machine Cake 3D

This novelty replica sewing machine cake was made for one of our customers in the Derby area. A suprise cake for one of their friends. The cake was made and modelled on a Singer sewing machine. Made from a large 12″ cake. The extras seen on this cake are also all hand molded and made to replicate every other part of the machine. This included the cotton, reel, knobs and switches.

Not stopping there we thought as usual we would go that  extra bit as we like to do for all our customers, and to make it look more authentic, we added some replica edible material, scissors and button.

The only part of the cake that is not edible is the replica needle which forms a small support for the cake above it.

Brush Iced Decorated Wedding Cake With Roses

An elegantly designed 4 tier wedding cake. This cake is made up of four tiers and the top tier is seperated by a modern design acrylic separator. (Though you do not have to use this)

The base and third tier have been left plain whilst the 2nd and top tier have a delicate hand brush iced decoration around them. The brush iced work on this elegant 4 tier wedding cake has been made slightly darker than the base colour to show the details.

The base of every tier has a thin ribbon around it and the whole cake sits on a hand decorated / etched board. From the top tier down we have laid a light trail of mixed flowers with mixed colours. These flowers can be changed and coloured to suit your theme.

The flowers are seperated on the way down with some carefully hand made green leaves to give it the fresh flower look.

On the base of the acrylic separator we have placed a bright white light which shines through the flowers beatifully and sets of the crystals in the acrylic stand.

Delivery within the Derby and Nottingham area is free, other areas will incur a small delivery charge.
