This beautiful christening font cake is all hand made and hand carved. It is made with a Madeira sponge and is filled with a smooth lemon butter cream. For the top of the font we used a chocolate orange swirl sponge filled with chocolate ganache. The font is then hand carved out and coated with a marble effect fondant. The font is filled with gel to give a water effect and then finally ribbon and fondant plaques with gold embossed detail are added.

What is so good about this cake is that it can be downsized to your requirements. We can either use cake dummies for the pedestal with a sponge cake on top or maybe you would the top to be a cake dummy, or, you can go the whole way and have it all made of a cake to your choice.
